REBECCA R. PLATH, M.A., LPC

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Ms. Plath is trained to work with individuals, couples and older adolescents in the following areas:
• Core issues of identity, sexuality and spirituality
• Issues surrounding trauma, abuse and grief
• Depression and anxiety
• Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
• Life transition and crises
• Marital counseling
• Missionaries and their “Third Culture Kids”

EDUCATION
Ms. Plath originally trained as a Registered Nurse at Columbia School of Nursing, Milwaukee , Wisconsin .  She has a B.S. in Psychology from Cheltenham Gloucester, United Kingdom and an M.A. in Counseling Psychology from Trinity International University , Deerfield , Illinois .

PERSONAL
Ms. Plath has spent 23 years overseas on two foreign mission fields (Africa and Asia ). Prior to returning to the United States , she served as the founder and manager of St. Andrew’s Counseling Service in Hong Kong . She is a wife and mother of four grown children.
