Richard McKnight M.A., LPC
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
Mr. McKnight is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). He has training and experience in working with individuals, couples, families and adolescents in the following areas:
- Depression and anxiety
- Adolescents
- Personality disorders
- Marital counseling
- Family counseling
- Leadership training
- Communication, empathy and negotiation skills
EDUCATION
Mr. McKnight earned B.A. degrees in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Westmont College, Santa Barbara, California. He has earned M.A.s in English Literature from California State University-Fresno and in Counseling Psychology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Deerfield, Illinois.
PERSONAL
Mr. McKnight served as a missionary with the Evangelical Free Church Mission in the Czech Republic for almost 13 years as field director, church planter and teacher in a national seminary (speaks Czech fluently). He is married and has four grown children. He enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his wife and family.
