Abigail Manthey

Masters Counseling Intern

Abigail is a graduate student pursuing her Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Mount Mary University. She strives to create a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and supported, and she values collaboration in the counseling relationship. It is her desire that when a client walks into the room they feel safe to be their authentic self. She has a background in biblical counseling, which informs her ability to support clients who desire to integrate faith into their mental health journey.

She believes that meaningful change happens when clients feel safe, understood, and empowered. Her role as a counselor is to walk alongside individuals in their healing journey, helping them uncover their strengths, build resilience, and gain insight. She especially loves working with children and adolescents and is passionate about helping young people navigate life’s challenges with confidence and hope. Additionally she has experience in the mental health side of sports training, and is interested in chronic illness/pain management.
