Lisa Worley

M.A., LPC-IT

“To be loved but not known is comforting but superficial. To be known and not loved is our greatest fear. But to be fully known and truly loved… is a lot like being loved by God.” – Tim Keller

Lisa approaches counseling with warmth, empathy, and respect for each person’s story. Her clinical approach is influenced by person-centered and attachment-based theories, which highlight the healing power of genuine connection and emotional safety. She believes that when clients feel truly seen and heard, they are better able to explore the patterns, emotions, and relational dynamics affecting their well-being.

Lisa combines this relational approach with a systems perspective, helping clients understand how their family history, relationships, and broader environment influence their current challenges and growth. She works with individuals, couples, and families and has experience in both community mental health and private practice settings.

Her Christian faith informs her work, providing a framework grounded in grace, hope, and the inherent worth of every person. Lisa creates space for concerns in a way that respects each client’s values and beliefs, including the option to integrate faith when desired.

Before becoming a counselor, Lisa spent fourteen years in full-time ministry, including overseas missions work. These experiences have shaped her sensitivity to cultural transitions, identity shifts, and the unique stressors often present in ministry settings.
