Narratives shape how we understand and navigate the world. They influence how we interpret what happens to us, how we respond, and what we believe is possible. Changing our patterns begins with becoming aware of the stories that guide us.
Ryan meets clients in a space where they feel heard and understood while exploring the narratives that shape their lives. His work moves beyond symptom relief toward building the capacities that make lasting change hold. His approach is clinically informed by current research and deepened by years of biblical training and pastoral experience.
With over two decades of working with people of all ages across private practice, community mental health, and church settings, Ryan has developed a broad understanding of the challenges people carry. He spent more than a decade working with college students, has spoken at youth retreats in Mexico and the United States, and served as a missionary in both countries for 15 years.
Ryan also brings the perspective of a former athlete. A four-sport athlete in high school, an all-state basketball player, and an NCAA Division II competitor, he understands how sport shapes an athlete's mental health and how quickly it can tip toward burnout and diminished performance. He believes athletes compete at their highest potential when mental health comes first.
